CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W is a warm asphalt mixture manufactured using reclaimed asphalt pavement or commonly known in the hot mix industry as RAP. What we are really doing is joining environmental waste management with road construction while maximizing profitability.
This can be achieved by adding a low percentage of our proprietary specialty liquid blend to be determined in the mix design, in addition to some or no virgin aggregate depending on the percentage of RAP recycled. It is also mixed at a much lower temperature then when producing normal hot mix (100 C-125 C). We can use from 25% – 100% RAP depending on the plant and the recommended mix design. There will be slight modifications required to the existing hot mix plant, but well worth the effort due to the significant cost savings and environmental benefits. Our team of technical experts is also able to assist with all aspects of this business including onsite guidance, advice and recommendations.
These are the following main economic, environmental, quality, features and benefits of CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W:
- By recycling waste RAP in higher percentages we are creating a new high quality value added product while maximizing hot mix plant profits at the same time. This will also reduce or eliminate unsightly RAP piles faster reclaiming the RAP stock pile storage land to be used again for more productive purposes.
- In countries where RAP is the property of the road administration, government or contractor the RAP has already been paid for initially when the road was constructed therefore, there is little to no cost associated with recycling this valuable resource (RAP).
- CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W will allow hot mix plants to sell a new very high quality value added product at a lower selling price compared to conventional hot mix asphalt. By doing so it will give the plant a competitive advantage over the competition. Road construction divisions or road construction clients of the hot mix plant will now be able to obtain more contracts at higher profit margins.
- The quality of CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W meets or exceeds virgin hot mix asphalt specifications and in a warming climate it has an added benefit of substantially greater resistance to rutting caused by hot temperatures as a result of our additives. So in this case it will actually outperform conventional hot mix. Even with our product being more economical it is possible to offer a comparable warranty to virgin hot mix material.
- Significantly less fuel is required when manufacturing our product compared to conventional hot mix asphalt (up to 50% reduction). Of course, this also translates into another cost savings and an environmental benefit of a reduction in CO2 carbon emissions while also reducing the amount of non renewable virgin asphalt materials required.
In conclusion, CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W is an intelligent alternative to virgin hot mix asphalt in certain applications. We achieved this based on the quality of our product, reducing or eliminating large RAP piles, decrease in production costs and an overall reduction of our CO2 carbon footprint on the environment.
All of the photos below are based on our product produced by replacing 100% of the virgin aggregate with 100% RAP and a low percentage of our proprietary specialty liquid blend. We have achieved this while creating a product that meets or even in some cases exceeds standard hot mix specifications. It is our sincere belief that these facts are unique to CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W globally.

EXPLANATORY NOTES:
The following laboratory test result documents are based on EU standards that show a direct and accurate comparison between conventional virgin hot mix asphalt BA 8 type used in road re-surfacing projects. The aggregate granulometry results show that the same three CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W sample sets all meet the standard granulometry specification of virgin hot mix asphalt BA 8 type.

EXPLANATORY NOTES:
The asphalt plant prepared three samples sets (1.1, 1.2 & 2.1, 2.2 & 3.1, 3.2) of CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W with our propriety specialty liquid blend and 100% RAP. And one set (Sample 1 & Sample 2) with 100% RAP, but without our proprietary specialty liquid blend and only adding plain bitumen.
The results proved that the samples prepared without our propriety specialty liquid blend resulted in a product that was too brittle not meeting the standard specification of conventional virgin hot mix asphalt BA 8 type. Sample 3.1 & 3.2 shows the best results of achieving the highest quality making the best CANADER-ENIVRO-MIX-W product to be used on future road re-surfacing projects. We accomplished this by using our proprietary specialty liquid blend mixed with 100% RAP.

Please note that one of most important parameters of these test results is the very impressive high density results seen with our CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W samples. The density increased with the addition of our Propriety Specialty Liquid Blend mixed with the 100% RAP which improved the voids content and compaction quality of the finished CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W product.
It is also important to note that the mixing temperature of CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W warm being between 100 and 125 degrees Celsius also avoids environmental concerns associated with blue smoke as opposed to mixing conventional hot mix at close to 145 degrees Celsius where blue smoke has in fact been identified as an environmental concern in some countries.
In conclusion, the three sample sets of laboratory test results of our CANADER-ENVIRO-MIX-W prove that we have attained excellent results in terms of flow, stability and density that in some clear technical respects indicate that our product has performed better than conventional hot mix based specifically on these EU laboratory certified test results.
